About Us
American Standard Company, a third generation family business, was established in 1938 by R. Steuart Florian as primarily
a tool and die shop. Over the years we developed metal stamping, machining, and assembly capabilities. We performed a
great deal of military work during and after World War II, and eventually focused on designing and building our own line
of Florian Ratchet-Cut Pruning Tools. We developed many capabilities from stamping, finishing to grinding and sharpening
in order to produce our tools in house. We produce all tooling in house with full CNC machining and Wire EDM capabilities.
Our quality standards are very thorough, even though we currently are not ISO-9000 certified, we do meet MIL-Q-9858
military standard for quality inspection.
We are capable of taking products from concept to design, fabrication of tooling, production, assembly, and packaging.
Our Florian Ratchet-Cut Tool line is also available for private label, or new designs can be made for OEM customers.
Our capabilities are only limited by your imagination.
